How do I know a Frenchie is right for me?
French Bulldogs are affectionate, loyal, and happiest when they're included as part of the family. They adapt well to a variety of living situations, whether you live in a house or an apartment, and they enjoy both relaxed days at home and moderate daily activities. Before bringing one home, it's important to consider your lifestyle, schedule, and the time you can dedicate to companionship, training, and care. If you're unsure whether a Frenchie is the perfect match, we're happy to help you find the right fit.
What colours, ages, and availability do you offer?
At Velvet Frenchie, we occasionally have French Bulldog puppies available in a variety of beautiful colors, depending on our planned litters. Our puppies are ready to join their new families once they reach the appropriate age and have received the care, health checks, and early socialization they need for a confident start in life.
Because we focus on quality over quantity, availability is often limited. Some puppies are reserved by families on our waiting list before they are publicly listed. If you're looking for a specific color, gender, or future litter, we encourage you to contact us or join our waiting list to receive priority updates.
During Reservation, Payment & Shipping
What payment methods are accepted and how safe is the transaction?
We accept Wise & PayPal. Payments are held in pending status until you confirm safe arrival of your puppy, so you’re protected every step of the way.
What is the process after I decide on a puppy?
Once you choose a puppy, your deposit increases to 50% of the total price. We’ll send you the contract, health guarantee, invoice, and schedule everything for shipping or pickup.
What Food Does My Puppy Eat At VelvetFrenchie Farm?
Your puppy has been started on Hill’s Chicken Puppy Medium food. To ensure a smooth transition and prevent digestive issues like vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite, we strongly recommend continuing with the same food when you bring your puppy home. Once your Frenchie has settled in, you can gradually switch to another brand if needed.
Follow the age-appropriate portion recommendations on the bag, based on an expected adult weight of 24 lbs (11 kg). You can soften the kibble by adding a little water if necessary, but be careful not to exceed the recommended portion, as overfeeding can cause diarrhea.
If diarrhea occurs, reducing the portion size for two days usually helps. You can also try feeding boiled rice and carrots as a gentle remedy. If symptoms persist, your puppy may need probiotics or medication, so it’s best to consult your vet. Young puppies have sensitive digestion, so maintaining a stable diet is key to keeping them healthy and happy.
Can I get updates or video calls during the wait?
Absolutely. You’ll get photos/videos every ~2 weeks. You may also schedule a live video call with your puppy and our team. Updates depend on litter size and other factors, but you’ll always have access.
What should I prepare before arrival?
We provide a checklist: bed, bowls, leash/harness, toys, grooming tools. For collars/harnesses, we recommend waiting until you have the puppy’s size.
After Your Puppy Arrives
Are Velvet Frenchie socialised and trained?
Yes, our puppies are raised in home‑like settings, exposed to people, sounds, other dogs and children. We start early ‘potty training’ and socialisation so they integrate smoothly into your home.
What support do you provide once the puppy is home?
You join the Velvet Frenchie Family: lifetime breeder & vet support. Whether it’s feeding, training, health or behaviour questions, we’re just a message away.
Do I need pet insurance and what about health monitoring?
We highly recommend pet insurance from day one. Our puppies arrive health‑checked, with microchip, vaccinations & passport where needed. We’ll guide you through the process.
What if something doesn’t go as planned?
Our lifetime guarantee is designed to give you peace of mind. If a genetic disorder covered by the guarantee occurs, we’ll replace your puppy under the terms of the contract. Because we believe in long‑term companionship, not short‑term transactions.
